Viatores Christi Lay Missionary Association

Sarah Oates, a member of Viatores Christi, will speak at all Masses  the weekend of August 8 & 9, 2026 as part of the Archdiocese of Toronto Mission Cooperative Program.

Sarah Oates is from County Galway in the West of Ireland, and she is a widow, a mother of three adult sons and has two Grandchildren.  She lived and worked as a lay missionary with the Franciscan Brothers in Uganda for 5 years and she continues to support their work both online and through occasional visits to East Africa. Sarah became a member of Viatores Christi in 2011 when she completed their volunteer training program and continues to support VC whenever she can. She is looking forward to visiting Holy Spirit   Parish in Barrie.
